Dr. Garri is a board member of the Miami CARE Foundation, a charity created to help patients born with craniofacial anomalies and their families. The Miami Craniofacial Anomalies Research and Educational (CARE) Foundation is a private, not-for-profit organization which has as its charter the following goals:

1. Help fund the medical care of patients with craniofacial anomalies, who would otherwise not be able to undergo these reconstructive procedures due to lack of funding or insurance coverage. The funds donated will not go to cover the surgeon's fees (which are donated), but to cover other associated expenses such as diagnostic tests, hospital costs, and equipment costs which are essential in the treatment of these patients.

2. To help fund promising research aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of these potentially devastating conditions.

3. Help in the education of the patients, their families, and the public in general about the entire scope of craniofacial anomalies and the treatment modalities available.

Dr. Garri has been involved in the care of patients with craniofacial anomalies for many years in the United States and abroad. As a matter of fact, it was his desire to care for patients with these conditions which made him pursue a career in plastic surgery.
